Many thanks to all those people who gave us information for our latest publication and to all of you that purchased it.
The Parish Of Copythorne Book of Remembrance
We used the names from the Copythorne War Memorial and researched into the background and family life of these men who were killed in both World Wars. Whilst doing this we have found that there are more than forty men whose names do not appear on the Memorial.
It was launched on our open day in March and sold out within six weeks, we have now had it reprinted.
From all the information we have gathered we are now starting a new project. We will be erecting two new headstones alongside the present War Memorial to add all those new names.
